The event attracted around 2500 exhibitors and 45,000 attendees and put the spotlight on the future of food production, featuring breakthroughs in production technology. Brett attended the show to meet with existing and new customers as well as gathering information and market insights.

Strong demand for WPC80 and MPC85 drives growth plans

Much of the discussion centred around the strong growth in demand for proteins globally, primarily WPC80, a whey protein concentrate, and MPC85, milk protein concentrate, for applications in sports and health drinks and snacks.  Demand for WPC80 is outstripping supply resulting in prices rising considerably for this product. This is good news for Westpro which has solid business with WPC80 and fits with our plans to increase our production over the coming 12 months. Westpro MPC85 is also a growing product for Westland with production expected to increase into 2026.

Positive feedback on Westpro’s product quality and service

Customers and partners continue to recognise the consistent quality of Westpro products and value of the service provided by Westland. Pricing and availability remain important topics, and we understand the need for reliable supply throughout the year. While our products are positioned toward the higher end of the market, maintaining steady volumes alongside strong quality and service helps us support ongoing business relationships.
