Westland’s pursuit for environmental excellence was recognised with the company being awarded ISO 14001 certification, a global benchmark for environmental management systems.

Chris Pullen, Environmental Manager, says achieving the globally recognised accreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team, who has diligently implemented and refined the company's Environmental Management System (EMS) over several years.

A rigorous audit spanning multiple days assessed Westland's operations across its Hokitika, Rolleston, and Hickory Place sites. The audit commended Westland for its exceptional workplace tidiness, strong organisational practices, and the staff's comprehensive knowledge of environmental standards. While minor non-conformities were promptly addressed, the overall assessment highlighted our robust approach to environmental stewardship.
